Marela Kauppakatu 24. Marela shows the life and lifestyle of a wealthy shipowner and his family at the turn of the 1900s, the golden age of seafaring in Rauma. Current exhibitions: Rauma 1918 and for children Star Fish and Other Memories from the Seas. Open daily 10-17.

Single ticket/tour ticket (Marela, Old Town Hall, Kirsti, valid for 2 days) 5 € / 8 € adults, 3,50 € / 6 € seniors, unemployed, groups, and 2,50 € / 4 € students. Under 18-year-olds free of charge. Museum card.

Seaman’s Home Museum Kirsti Pohjankatu 3. Seaman’s home museum Kirsti offers a chance to feel the history. The beautifully conserved yard with its buildings shows what it looked like in Old Rauma a few hundred years ago. The buildings exhibit the everyday life in different historical periods. Old Town Hall Kauppakatu 13. The history of Rauma, bobbin lace from Rauma and museum shop Kistupuad. Current exhibitions: The First Centuries of Old Rauma and a bobbin lace exhibition. Open daily 10-17. Ticket information above.

Sammallahdenmäki, UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lappi Sammallahdenmäki is an archaeologigal burial site which was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1999. There are 36 Bronze Age burial cairns in the area. A guide is present Mon-Fri 11-17, guide fee 2€/person, under 18-year-olds for free. The guided tours start from the southern information point, address: Savulaaksontie 181. The terrain is rough, so the route can be challenging in some places.

Kiikartorni Lookout Tower Suvitie 10. Kiikartorni lookout tower offers beautiful views to the Rauma archipelago and the boat harbour. Open on Lace Week during the art exhibition of Outi Puolanne: Sat–Sun 10–17, Mon-Thu 11–17 and Fri 10–17. Tower fee 1€.

Lappi Local History Museum and Church Dtables Museotie 2, Lappi. Lappi local history museum is located next to the Lappi church and the museum consists of three buildings: a parish granary built in 1875, a former home of the parish verger and church stables dating back to the early 1900s. The local history museum is open in July on Sundays 12-15.

Rauma Maritime Museum Kalliokatu 34. The permanent exhibition displays sailing and ship building, sailors’ life and teaching of seafaring. The current changing exhibition tells about the port of Rauma.

  • Rauma Maritime Museum takes the smallest sailors of the family into account, too. The ”please, touch” activity points and the navigation simulator Jenny are available when possible during the opening hours of the museum. You can also say hello to diver Wikholm and pump him some air.

Rauma Art Museum Kuninkaankatu 37. Pinnala house, where Rauma art museum is located, is one of the best conserved building entities in Old Rauma. Exhibitions this summer: J.O. Mallander’s art collection (9.6.-16.9.), Erkki Paasikivi’s sculptures in the garden (20.6.-9.9.), and Tooli – the summer exhibition of the Artists’ Association of Rauma in the outbuilding (15.6.-31.8.). The donated collection of Eino Valtonen (1890-1925) is on display permanently in the Broman hall. The permanent exhibition includes works of Finnish artists from the Golden Age of Finnish Art. Seppä House Alfredinkatu 3. Seppä house is a wooden house in the city centre, built in the 1920s. A group of culture enthusiasts renovated the house in order to use the house and the garden for various cultural events and exhibitions. A food garden was started in spring 2017, and the project continues this year. The project brings the feel of urban agriculture and a sense of community to everybody. The garden can be admired at all times.

Tammela House Eteläpitkäkatu 17. Tammela house introduces UNESCO World Heritage and renovation in Old Rauma. Open daily 11-17.

Teresia and Rafael Lönnström’s Home Museum Syväraumankatu 41. Teresia and Rafael Lönnström’s Home Museum exhibits the unique residence and art collection of an industrialist couple. The art projects of Lönnström Art Museum are displayed in the gallery of the home museum. Current art projects include material from IC-98’s Khronos’ house (Khronoksen talo) project (2016-2017) and Jani Ruscica’s Flatlands project (2017-2018). Open in July and August Wed-Sun 12-16. Exhibition of the history of photography Camera Museum, Isokatu 8. Cameras, movie projectors, additional equipment, etc. from Daquero to digital technology! Museum shop sells collectable cameras, art, design glass and literature. Open daily 12-16.

Old Rauma Phone Museum Eteläpitkäkatu 22. Rauma phone museum introduces the development of phones. Graham Bell patented the phone in 1876. The phone museum introduces phone technology from the 1880s to the present. Free entry. Open daily 11-18.
